Privacy Policy
This policy explains what My Visit Cards ("we", "the app") collects when you use the mobile app or the website at myvisitcards.com, why we collect it, and the choices you have.
1. Information we collect
- Account details. Your mobile number (required to sign in), your name, and your email address if you give one.
- Business details, if you create a visiting card. Business name, proprietor name, contact numbers, address, email, description, categories, working hours, services, products, photos and videos, logo and card design.
- Business location. The GPS position of your shop, which you set yourself, so customers nearby can find you.
- Your device location, if you allow it. Used only to sort businesses by distance. We do not store a history of your movements; the most recent position is kept on your device and sent with listing requests.
- KYC documents. Identity and business proofs you upload for verification.
- Activity. Reviews and ratings you write, businesses you save, and counts of profile views, call taps, WhatsApp taps, direction requests and card shares.
- Technical data. IP address and app version, used for security, rate limiting and fixing faults.
2. How we use it
- To create and show your visiting card and listing to customers.
- To sign you in by one-time password (OTP) sent to your mobile number.
- To show businesses near you, sorted by distance.
- To verify businesses through KYC, and to moderate reviews and listings.
- To show business owners how many people viewed, called or contacted them.
- To send service notifications (approval, KYC result, new reviews, payment confirmations).
- To process optional promotion payments.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising by third parties.
3. What other people can see
If you publish a visiting card, the information on it is public: business name, proprietor name, contact numbers, address, map location, description, categories, photos, services, products, working hours, ratings and reviews. Do not put anything on your card that you do not want to be public.
KYC documents are never public. They are stored outside the public web folder and can only be opened by you and by our verification team.
Reviews show the reviewer's name and rating.
4. Services we use
- SMS provider — to deliver login OTPs to your mobile number.
- Razorpay — to process optional promotion payments. Card and banking details are handled by Razorpay; we never see or store them.
- OpenStreetMap (Nominatim) — to turn coordinates into area names and to search for places.
- Google Firebase — to deliver push notifications to your phone, if you allow notifications.
- Hostinger — our servers, located in the European Union, where the data is stored.
5. Permissions the app asks for
- Location — to sort businesses by distance and to set your shop's map pin. You can refuse; the app still works.
- Camera and photos — only when you upload a logo, work photos, product images or KYC documents.
- Microphone — only while you use voice search.
- Notifications — to tell you about approvals, reviews and payments.
6. How long we keep data
Account and business data is kept while your account exists. Activity counts are kept for up to 24 months. Login OTP records are deleted after a few minutes. Payment records are kept as long as tax law requires.
7. Deleting your account
You can delete your account at any time: open Profile → Delete Account in the app, or the same option in the business panel. This permanently removes your profile, your visiting card, photos, catalog, saved businesses, notifications and KYC documents. Reviews you wrote remain visible but are shown as "Former customer". You can also email support@myvisitcards.com to request deletion.
8. Security
Traffic is encrypted with HTTPS. Passwords and OTPs are stored only as irreversible hashes. KYC files are kept in private storage reachable only through an authenticated request. Access to the admin console is restricted.
9. Children
The app is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
10. Your rights
You may ask for a copy of your data, correct it, or have it deleted, by writing to support@myvisitcards.com. We reply within 30 days.
11. Changes
If this policy changes we will update this page and the date above, and show a notice in the app for significant changes.
